THE WASA CALENDAR

To assist managers and new members, here is a run down of the Association calendar.

 

In late January or early February, the Association hosts the annual membership meeting.  Ads are run in the Wausau Daily Herald announcing the date of this meeting.   

Also check the important dates page of this website.  At this meeting the members elect league representatives for the upcoming year.  The financial status of the Association is reviewed and rule changes, member concerns or ideas etc. are discussed.

 

Entries for the new season will be accepted beginning with the annual meeting.

 

The entry deadline is March 15 each year.

 

Entries should consist of the Team Name, League requested, Manager name address and phone number, a tentative roster, and the Team Fee payment.  Some leagues may have a limit on the number of teams accepted and they will be ranked in the order they are received.  See the Forms Page for a Team Entry Form.

About a week after the entry deadline each league holds it’s Manager’s Meeting, these are advertised in the paper on the weekend prior to the meetings.  Final league alignments, awards for the year and other league issues are discussed at this meeting.  Each team manager or a representative should be there.

 

The last Sunday in April or the first Sunday of May is supply & schedule distribution day.

 

On this day, schedules, ASA team packets and any other new information for the manager is passed out.  Team rosters with player signatures and the player fees are due on this day.  Payment by check is required, no cash please.  This is the last meeting scheduled prior to the start of play in May.  Players not signed on your team roster can be added throughout the season at the concession stand or through your league director or Association Officer.
