LOU MARTH JUNE BUG CLASSIC WAUSAU AREA SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION RULES FOR 10U,12U, 14U, 16U, 18U FAST PITCH DIVISIONS
10U ONLY 1. Maximum of 10 players on the field. Four players must remain in the outfield grass. 2. All players on the roster will bat in the line up. Unlimited defensive substitutions. 3. No bunting allowed. 4. No stealing allowed. 5. On a dropped 3rd strike the batter is out. 6. A batting tee will not be used. 7. If your team is ahead and you bat through the order, the inning is over. 8. Pitchers are limited to 4 innings per game. (1 pitch in an inning counts as a inning pitched) 9. All other rules will follow 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U rules.
12U, 14U, 16U, 18U RULES 1. Non ASA teams need to pay an extra $7 per name on the roster to cover ASA fees. ASA teams will need ASA Ins. Cards. 2. All money must be in by June 15th. (Team fees, ASA fees, Money for shirt orders) 3. Rosters need to be turned in 30 min. before first game at the concession stand. Once rosters are turned in, no changes can be made. PROOF OF PLAYER’S AGE NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE IF QUESTIONED. (AGE AS OF JANUARY 1ST) GAMES WILL BE FORFEITED IN WHICH AN IN-ELIGIBLE PLAYER HAD BEEN USED. A PLAYER MAY BE LISTED ON 2 ROSTERS IN DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS. 4. Limit of 15 players on a roster. 5. Maximum of 9 players on the field. All substitutions must be reported to the scorekeeper/umpire. 6. Line up cards turned in 10 min. before game time to score keeper. 7. ASA Run Rule Applies 15 after 3 innings, 12 after 4 innings, 8 after 5 innings. 8. Bunting is allowed for 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U. 9. Base stealing is allowed for 12U,14U,16U, 18U. Runners may leave the base once the ball has left the pitchers hand. Players leaving early will be called out. 10. Home team is decided by coin flip. 11. Each game will consist of 7 innings with no new inning starting after 1 HR 15 Min. If a game is tied after 7 innings or after time limit, the next inning the team batting first will put a runner on 2nd base. (the player that made the last out the inning before) Then in the bottom 1/2 of the inning the home team will start with a runner on 2nd. This will continue until we have a winner. 12. Pitcher will have 5 warm up pitches. 7 for a new pitcher. 13. No crow hopping allowed. (For more info on this please contact Tournament Director or UIC) 14. A courtesy runner (The player that made the last out) will be allowed for the pitcher and catcher with 2 outs to get the gear on to keep the game going . 15. No infield or batting practice before games on the playing field. 16. No Metal Spikes in the 10u, 12u, 14u age groups! 17. Batter can run on a dropped 3rd strike in 12U,14U,16U,18U unless first base Is occupied with less then 2 outs. 18. Cheering on your team only will be allowed, (No artificial noise makers) 19. Coaches are responsible for cleaning out their dugout after each game. 20. Helmets must be equipped with face mask and chin strap. 21. No jewelry, except for medical bracelets/tags. 22. Only Managers may discuss a decision with the umpire. 23. Profanity toward a player/umpire will not be tolerated by Coaches, Players. Each occurrence will cost your team an OUT your next at bat and ejection from the game and will carry into the next game. Fans will be asked to leave for the rest of the game. (100 feet away) 24. NO PETS ALLOWED in the Park Per County Ordinance. 25. County Ordinance DOES NOT PERMIT CARRY INS! PLEASE UTILIZE THE CONCESSION STAND. TEAMS PLAYING MAY BRING WATER AND SPORT DRINKS. 26. All umpires are ASA umpires. 27. All Umpire calls are Final. NO protesting. 28. Any questions regarding the tournament or ASA rules can be directed to the UIC. 29. Smoking is not permitted on the field or in dugouts. 30. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED DURING THE TOURNAMENT BY COACHES OR FANS. 31. Rain delays, Games will be shortened to 5 innings and or a 1 hour time limit. 32. All other rule not covered here will be covered by ASA Rules. 33.
